I have also created simple line drawings to show you what it is that I see in each photograph, and I have written about what each says to me. Out of respect for each person’s unique vision, the line drawings and explanations have been placed in the back of the book as field notes.

I want you to be free to form your own impressions and to "hear" your own stories. I wish I could share what some of my closest friends have seen, for I have been amazed and have at times laughed out loud at the marvelous differences in what we have witnessed.
